If you’re one of those dedicated fans who’ve collected all 12 XIAO Dev Boards (as of December 2024), you’ve probably noticed that only the classic XIAO SAMD21 (Seeedduino XIAO) comes in a pre-soldered option. We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear – soldering these thumb-sized boards can be quite challenging!

Great news to freshen the week: We’re thrilled to announce pre-soldered versions across our entire XIAO lineup! Here’s what’s coming:

WiFi & Bluetooth Enabled:

• XIAO ESP32C3
• XIAO ESP32C6 (with Thread, Zigbee, Matter support)
• XIAO ESP32S3
• XIAO ESP32S3 Sense

Bluetooth Solutions (low power consumption too):

• XIAO nRF52840 (NFC)
• XIAO nRF52840 Sense (NFC)
• XIAO MG24 (with Thread, Matter support)
• XIAO MG24 Sense (with Thread, Matter support)

Advanced Microcontrollers:

• XIAO RP2040
• XIAO RP2350
• XIAO RA4M1

Classic Option:

• XIAO SAMD21

Why pre-soldered? Simple! No more fiddling with soldering irons on such tiny soldering pads- just unbox and start creating. These boards are ready to work with all XIAO add-ons (sensors, connectivity modules, actuators, and Grove Expansions) in a quick snap, perfect for breadboard prototyping or direct project integration.

Take our XIAO Starter Kit, for example. Just snap your pre-soldered XIAO onto the Expansion Board, and you’ve instantly got access to over 300 Grove modules plug and play. Perfect for education, rapid prototyping, or anyone who wants to jump straight into their project!
